Introduction of the Rutland Cup for the National Ethics Bowl Competition

>> Tuesday, April 29, 2014

The Rutland Institute for Ethics stepped up to provide a championship cup for the International Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, an annual ethics competition sponsored by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics.

The “Rutland Cup,” as it almost immediately came to be called, made its debut at the 20th International Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, which took place at the annual meeting of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics in Jacksonville, Florida, February 27, 2014.  The names of the schools that have won the championship since it began in 1995 as well this year’s winner, the University of Montana, are engraved on the base of the Cup.  This practice will continue from now on.  The Rutland Cup is a lasting indicator of the Rutland Institute’s commitment to promoting ethics across the country, indeed around the world!
